The Sardinian Cultural Association (SCA) was founded in 1987 and since 1988 has been officially recognized by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (RAS). Currently the SCA has a base of around 300 Members, 'simpatizzanti' and 'Next Generation' members and calls Australia 'home' whilst at the same time being extremely proud of its Sardinian heritage.

"The SCA acknowledges and pays its respects to the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land the SCA has its Clubrooms and many of us of Sardinian origin have made their home. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging, who have resided on this land and have been an integral part of Australia's history. We also acknowledge the wave upon wave of migrants and refugees for their cultural, economic and political contribution to this nation as they sought a better life for themselves and their families. All of the above represents the broad multicultural mix that is Australia today. We hope that our respect for Wurundjeri Woiwurrung people, and others, will play its part in contributing to Australia remaining a cohesive and diverse nation.”
