"Literary Prize "Reeds in the Wind" /

Premio Letterario "Canne al Vento"

The "Reeds in the Wind" international literary festival is promoted by the municipality of Galtellì, in Sardinia, and conducted by the literary Club - Jane Austen Sardinia.

The 4th international literary competition is dedicated to Grazia Deledda, the first Italian woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize for literature.

Story writers around the world are invited to participate in the competition, the common goal being to spread Italian and Sardinian culture.

The competition, which requires the submission of short stories either in Italian, Sardinian, English, French or Spanish, is absolutely free for participants,

The competition is divided into the following two sections:

 Section A - stories in Italian, English, French and Spanish.

Section B - stories in Sardinian language.

Winners will be rewarded with a cash prize of 1000 euros and all finalists' stories will be published.

In addition to this, the municipality of  Galtellì will reimburse finalists for their travel expenses to Sardinia, and will host them for the Award Ceremony in Galtellì, the little town where the novel "Reeds in the wind"  is set.
